Here is a really unusual take on a well known Christmas carol. The chart opens in a "Baroque" allegro with the reeds and brass in call and response and then shifts to an 8 funk groove led by the saxes with brass punches on the repeat. A written Alto solo follows, then an improvised funk Guitar solo before a sudden modulation and change of feel back to the allegro, then to funk, before a final broad Baroque classical style ending. This chart will bring the house down. There are no sax doubles.
