Although this chart was made famous by Vaughn Monroe in its own right, it is perhaps more widely recognised as the main theme in the Bruce Willis 'Die Hard' series of movies. The opening unison Trumpet will leave audiences in no doubt as to what comes next. Monroe's original chart used a lot of orchestral woodwind in the reeds. We have removed all of these and have scored the reeds for a regular AATTB section. The vocal chart is written 'as sung' by Mr Monroe and the brass ranges are moderate (Tpt 1 to high C, Trb 1 to Ab) making the chart playable by most bands. Although at 1 minute 40 secs it's not a long chart, it is as long as it needs to be, and will make a fine addition to any Christmas performance. The vocal key is Db throughout.
