Slip Horn Jive is a bright, up-tempo, hard-driving swing chart from the Glenn Miller book. The original arrangement was by Eddie Durham and was scored for 6 brass. We have augmented our version up to a full 8 piece section. The chart features solo space for Tenor, Trumpet, Alto and Trombone and your players will need good techniques and tight section work in order to give the chart the rip-roaring performance that it deserves. As with many early Miller charts the saxes are scored for AAATT. There are no sax doubles.
