This fine tune was first popularized by Vaughn Monroe and his orchestra in 1945. Monroe's version included his vocal group, the Moon Maids, to add backings to his own vocal performance. In our adaptation we have removed these vocal backings and have re-scored their lines back into the band, making the chart playable by a standard 5444 big band and solo vocalist. The vocal range would suit either a Baritone or an Alto voice. The brass ranges in this chart are moderate and there are no sax doubles. The vocal key is G throughout.
